Itinerary and highlights

Brașov is a charming medieval city nestled in the heart of Romania, surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains. Known for its well-preserved Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance architecture, it boasts cobbled streets, colorful houses, and the iconic Black Church. Just minutes from the forested hills and ski resorts, Brașov is a perfect blend of history, nature, and vibrant local culture—ideal for both exploration and relaxation.

Bâlea Lake is a stunning glacial lake located high in Romania’s Făgăraș Mountains, along the famous Transfăgărășan Highway. Surrounded by dramatic peaks and alpine scenery, the lake sits at over 2,000 meters altitude and offers breathtaking views year-round. In summer, it’s a popular stop for hikers and road-trippers; in winter, it becomes a snowy wonderland featuring an ice hotel. Bâlea Lake is a must-see gem for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

The Transfăgărășan Highway is one of the most spectacular roads in the world, winding through Romania’s Făgăraș Mountains. Built in the 1970s, this engineering marvel climbs to over 2,000 meters, offering dramatic hairpin turns, tunnels, waterfalls, and panoramic mountain views. Often called “the road to the sky,” it’s a favorite for drivers, motorcyclists, and nature lovers.
